Default I knew I liked this guy!

I hope Turner wins all of his games except the NU game. He sounds like someone I'd like to meet!

I can respect hiring your coaches on the basis that they won't swear or curse... but I don't really agree with it.

If I were a coach.. I wouldn't discriminate against a better coach just because he curses when he's fiery.

A Husker Hooligan isn't a street hooldum that fights with rival fans. Rather, a fan who is deeply passionate for the the best team in the land...

I'm wondering if there were any coaches who cursed in the golden era at nebraska... under Tom.

I don't think very many. Tom ran a really tight ship on that front. With the exception of a guy like Lawrence Phillips, the coaches under Tom's leadership really helped them grow as men. Tom utilized a lot of his faith in his coaching as well. He wrote about it in his book, "Faith in the Game." Very good book by the way.

Do you think that's what KU did, Just hire Turner because he didn't curse.) Mmm, I may have to re-read the links. I may have missed something!

I have a couple of his books but, not that one. I'll have to look that book up. Every time I read one of his books I think I become a better person. "Faith in the game" sounds like a good read.

I'd say McBride may have been one of the few that dropped some "naughty" words back in the day.
