Four Huskers headed to combine

Larry Asante, Phillip Dillard, Jacob Hickman and Ndamukong Suh have been invited to the NFL combine in February, according to an early list put out by SportingNews.com.

The preliminary list does not include juniors and other players who might be invited late to the festivities, which will begin Feb. 24 in Indianapolis.

I'm surprised Barry Turner didn't make the early list, although maybe he'll receive a late invite. Matt O'Hanlon would seem a candidate to land a late invite as well.

Here's the Big 12 players on the early combine invitee list, according to SportingNews.com:

Baylor: WR David Gettis, C J.D. Walton.

Colorado: TE Riar Geer.

Iowa State: None.

Kansas: WR Kerry Meier, S Darrell Stuckey.

Kansas State: WR Brandon Banks, TE Jeron Mastrud.

Missouri: WR Danario Alexander, G Kurtis Gregory, WR Jared Perry, LB Sean Weatherspoon.

Nebraska: Asante, Dillard, Hickman, Suh.

Oklahoma: RB Chris Brown, TE Brody Eldridge, TE Jermaine Gresham, CB Brian Jackson, T Trent Williams.

Oklahoma State: CB Perrish Cox, T Russell Okung, QB Zac Robinson, RB Keith Toston.

Texas: DT Lamarr Houston, DE Sergio Kindle, QB Colt McCoy, LB Roddrick Muckelroy, WR Jordan Shipley, OT Adam Ulatoski.

Texas A&M: None.

Texas Tech: G Brandon Carter, DB Jamar Wall.

i like it... i just saw phillip dillard got off so easy on a driving under suspended lisence. check it out.

I wonder if the Jets will take Asante or O'Hanlon? Not a fan of them, but I live in the NY area and have come to appreciate their defense.

my question is why would suh do the combine when his stock is already high enough up. he's going number one overall and everyone knows it. it's going to be suh going to the rams to help out a really shitty team

He says he doesnt want to leave anything behind, and get the experience of being able to the combine.
