Nebraska athletic director Tom Osborne, at Doc Sadler’s request, spoke to the team for 15 minutes before Thursday’s practice.
Sadler figured a pep talk was in order after the Huskers’ third straight loss, including two where breaks didn’t go their way in the final seconds. Nebraska’s next two games are on the road, beginning Saturday at Texas Tech. “I just think that it’s good they hear the same thing from somebody else, especially from somebody who’s been through it so much,” Sadler said. “I mean, Coach has won a lot of games.” Osborne’s message? “It was just, ‘Guys, what you’re doing is basically going to work. You can’t continue to play that hard and it not work.’ ” JournalStar.com - Lincoln, Nebraska - Blog - Life In The Red
