I definitely think the Chiefs could have traded down, and possibly picked up a second round pick for it. Maybe gotten their 5 technique, Jackson, at 10 or 12 instead of 3. They could have saved a lot of money and picked up another pick on day 1. I agree with most of the article. Not sure who most of the players are that we drafted on day 2. Pioli is well known for his "diamonds in the rough," so we'll see what happens with them. But I do think we could have gotten the bigger name guys. As a Husker fan, and playing against Mizzou, it would have been great to have the TE from Mizz at KC. What a great replacement for TG. But instead we wait till late in the draft and pick up a no-name guy. I'm not convinced it was a great draft for my Chiefs. We'll see where we are in 3-4 years, as the article stated.
