Oregon had an in home last night, still looking for an update on how that went. Bo gets the last crack at Owa before Signing Day. I am liking our chances.

So Owa, Bo, Carl and John Papuchis just got done visiting. No commit yet (as expected). Owa said that he's down to two schools but did not say who those schools are. Supposedly, Owa mentioned lots of positive differences that really opened the eyes of his family, "Specifically his mother." That's all we know at this point.

We know this; Owa said that he would've commited with us already if it weren't for his mother disagreeing with the distance. I can only imagine all of the eye opening, positive descriptions of the "Good Life" that Bo brought to focus for Owa's mother. Things are looking good for us in the Owa department.

s those who follow Husker recruiting know, Nebraska coaches traveled to Portland on Thursday night to visit with ballyhooed defensive end recruit Owamagbe Odighizuwa.

Bo Pelini, Carl Pelini and John Papuchis made the trip, visiting with Owa and his mother. UCLA and Oregon are the other schools he's considering, and some have wondered if the distance to Nebraska might give the competitors an advantage.

What's mom think about that distance?

"After this (visit), she said she doesn't really mind at all," Owa told Scout.com after the meeting Thursday night. "She does not care at all. There are so many other good things about the school, she can look past the distance."

Owa said he'd like to talk it over with his coach and mom this weekend and didn't have a set time frame for a decision in mind.

"Just when it feels right," he told Scout.

I haven't heard anything new. The closest I have read is that his mother is much more comfortable with the distance after meeting the NU coaches. She said it didn't matter to her at all. So distance (which was NU's biggest obstacle to getting him) doesn't seem to be a big issue anymore. This could be huge for us. Especially if we land him and the safety, Cooper.
