Yes well, ok then. Here is the deal, Cody Fajardo, a 3 Star QB out of CA, was supposed to be visiting this weekend. However Fajardo recently confirmed with Rivals and Scout that he is NOT coming anymore, going to Arizona instead. He said that the Coaches were close to getting "the other kid." Here is the LJS Life in the Red Blog Post about it:
Quote:
NU Coaches also had an In-Home Visit with Brion Carnes last night. Bo and Watson were the Coaches making the visit. The timing of the in-home and the news from Fajardo is what is stoking the rumors. The final piece that adds to this is that Brion's good friend and teammate, WR Ace Sanders, decommited from USF and gave his pledge to South Carolina yesterday. They both wanted to play together, Ace committing to another school is an indication in some minds that Brion is also no longer interested in USF. Brion is supposed to have a visit to WKU this weekend, the HC there is an alum of Brion's HS, Manatee, just like Tommie Frasier so that is the connection. Many think Brion will cancel his trip now, but we shall see. I will say that it looks like it is really positive for NU right now regarding Carnes. |

Some more fuel to the fire that Brion is all but N. Brion will wait until Signing Day to announce his choice, but more signs are point to the Huskers.
On Rivals Radio, Phil King said that Brion Carnes canceled his scheduled trip to WKU this weekend, I can't find any written confirmation of that though. What I can confirm is that WKU just picked up a pledge from a 3 Star QB so that is a sign from WKU that they are out of it and went with their plan B. I also just found out that USF just got a commit from 3 Star ATH/QB Jamius Gunsby, a possible sign that they also are going to Plan B since they missed out on Carnes. We will have to wait 5 days to find out for sure though. |

I'm not a very patient person, hell I can barely wait for my tostino's pizza to cook in the microwave without getting irritated and anxious...let alone this signing day stuff.

I have to update the information I just posted about USF getting a 3 Star Commit. Jamius Gunsby apparently NOT committed to USF as of yet. He is visiting USF this weekend and said he MIGHT commit during his visit. This is what I get when I am rushing through boards and articles trying to get caught up.
Anyway it looks like interest is strong from him and he definitely appears to be USF's back up plan to Carnes. |

Here is a story on Gunsby visiting USF this weekend. Sounds like it is all but a done deal IMO, so this should help with Carnes or is a sign that we have Carnes.
